Courtney Bassett

about me

Courtney Bassett is a singer, an actress, a songwriter, a dancer, and a musician.
She most recently was dancing, singing, stair scaling, and vodka toasting in Russian 8 times a week in Broadway's "Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812", which played it's final performance at the Imperial Theatre on September 3rd. This groundbreaking, innovative new musical was nominated for 12 2017 Tony Awards and featured international pop star Josh Groban and multiplatinum recording artist Ingrid Michaelson.

Courtney also writes and plays with her indie pop band, Starbird and the Phoenix. Listen to their tune "Sunbeam" featured on 'End NF' an album benefitting children with neuro fibramatosis.
Their debut EP will be released this fall.

Since moving to the Big Apple 3 years ago, some of Courtney's performance highlights have been singing the "Somewhere" solo for New York City Ballet's 'West Side Story Suite', dancing and modeling for Prada at NYC Fashion Week, playing a rock belting insect in Off Broadway smash "Bedbugs", and creating original music for science/art collaborative Superhero Clubhouse.
